Renascence
Coaching grew out of my own experience
of transformational change. With the help
of many people, and a variety of training
resources, I learned to apply new principles
in my relationships. Over time I found
that these changes were creating newness
in every facet of my life. My desire to
facilitate the same possibilities for
others led to my certification as a Transformational
Coach through the Advancing Ministries
Coaching Academy.
In Renascence
Consulting I bring similar transformational
principles to non-profit organizations.
My experiences as a volunteer began in
high school and college, and since then
I have held paid or unpaid positions for
over a dozen different non-profit organizations.
During my 15 years of service on non-profit
boards, including three years as Board
Chair, I began my self-directed studies
in board governance and organizational
effectiveness. My broadening interest
in consulting led me to complete an MBA
at the University of Rhode Island, where
my studies focused on the non-profit sector.
"Renascence"
(re-nay-sense), the anglicized version
of the French word "Renaissance,"
means new birth or new life. The literary-minded
may also recognize it as the title of
a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay. I designed
my logo to reflect the theme of the poem,
in collaboration with Paul Perry of Ergatas
Design. For more information about
